'Glee's' Cory Monteith: 'The First Time' Will Only 'Strengthen' Finn and Rachel's Relationship
From coming out to friends and family to teen pregnancy, Fox’s Glee has never shied away from telling stories teenagers face on a daily basis and Tuesday’s “The First Time” episode is no different.
The installment features two of the series’ most beloved couples – Rachel (Lea Michele) and Finn (Cory Monteith) as well as Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Blaine (Darren Criss) — taking the next step in their committed, long-term relationships: sex.
“Having watched it myself, I think it was a really well done episode and I think it handled a lot of sensitive topics very maturely,” Monteith tells The Hollywood Reporter.

“When Cory and I were doing our scene, the crew came up to us and they were like, ‘Look. We just want you to know that Darren and Chris were really hot. They went for it,’” she tells us. “So I was like, ‘Listen, Monteith. We’ve got to do better than them. We’ve got to turn these people on! And we have to top those boys!’ Poor Cory. But it was great. It really was.”
Oh, snap! Lea is in it to win it. That’s why we love her. Now, it’s time for Chris to give us more dirt about “The First Time.”

We asked Chris Colfer that very same question, and here’s what he had to say: “I think they are more in love than ever before, and I think they’re both glad they had that experience with each other.” But Colfer also revealed that the Sebastian sitch is far from over, and he’s actually happy to see some tension between Kurt and Blaine (Darren Criss). “I was really excited when the whole Sebastian thing came along because I was so excited to have a storyline with a little drama between the two!” Who doesn’t love high school drama?
