Glee Reveals Sue’s Evil Origins
All I’m saying is it’s about damn time. On November 15, Glee will finally reveal why Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) hates musical theater. As the kids prepare to stage West Side Story, “we wanted to show that Sue at one point had Broadway dreams,” teases exec producer Ian Brennan.
A flashback shows 16-year-old Sue on stage belting out the title song from Oklahoma!, a performance savaged by one brutal critic. “Her little heart was broken,” sighs Jane. “Will tells Sue, ‘Poor little Susie Sylvester was told she wasn’t good, and now she’s got to punish the world.’ Like a lot of angry people out there, Sue’s a wannabe.”
Glee cast 19-year-old Colby Minifie for the part of young Sue. “I think they did a terrific job casting,” raves Jane. “She has a great voice and energy.”
Also coming up is the election of the students’ class president, which coincides with Sue’s congressional bid. “People are voting for both elections in the school, with signs pointing voters in different directions,” says Ian, who promises that the final results take “a very surprising twist.”

First, rumor has it you’re part of Lady Gaga’s next music video, for “Marry The Night.” Can you tell me anything about that?
Um. Where did you hear that from? (Laughs) I can’t confirm or deny anything at this point.Well, you Tweeted this so I think you can confirm — you were in the studio recording a song for “Glee.” Everyone is anxious to hear her sing again… can you tell us what she’s performing?
I sing a little, it’s not a solo for Tina, but I was in the studio for one of our mashup numbers that we weren’t going to be doing. It’s episode 6. There’s a couple of really fun mashups and I get to sing a little on those.Do you know about any upcoming solos for Tina?
Not that I know of for my character. I’m just patiently waiting, I know Tina’s time will come. But nothing as of right now.

Wearing black cocktail dresses and black heels with their hair swooped to the side in sleek low ponytails, Mercedes (Amber Riley), Santana (Naya Rivera) and Brittany (Heather Morris) — yes, Brittany — were joined by Sugar Motta (Vanessa Lengies) and three other girls from the rival glee group… Mercedes starting off in full ‘Rumor’ mode, then Santana chiming in with a little taste of the softer ballad. Brittany didn’t get to bust out a solo moment, but just her presence with the rival club means some more big changes are coming soon.
